\u2018new\u2019 school will be 30 years old!  <br \/>\nKeeping a school in the village when Warwickshire schools were being reorganised in the 1990s was a major fund-raising achievement for the whole community and, to mark this important birthday, the Parish Council, Leek Wootton History Group and the Leek Wootton Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School Trust (established to raise funds for the building of the new school) are launching a project to produce a book commemorating the life of the school.  <\/td><td class=\"column-3\"><a class=\"column-2\">2011-2013:<br \/>\n<strong>Doreen&#8217;s Diary: The life of an indomitable woman in Warwickshire During World War II<\/strong><br \/>\nIn 2004 a number of diaries belonging to Doreen Wright were discovered. The diaries cover the period of May 1940 to December 1942 and provide a fascinating insight into her life during the War, whilst living with her parents-in-law at Wootton Court (now The Hayes) in Leek Wootton.<br \/>\nThe Doreen&#8217;s Diary project was supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund, which led to the publication of not only the diaries, but also a learning pack for schools.
